What is a Sound Bath?
A sound bath is a deeply relaxing and meditative experience where you are “bathed” in the soothing sounds of various instruments and vibrational tools. A sound bath is designed to help you rest, restore, and recalibrate your nervous system. There is nothing you need to do, except lie down and receive.
As you lie comfortably, the vibrations wash over your body and mind. You drop into your parasympathetic nervous system- where rest, digest, and healing happens.
As the sound vibrations deepen, many people drift into theta, the same brain wave state as light sleep or deep meditation. In theta, your body and mind can access profound relaxation, creative insight, and emotional release.
Some participants even dip briefly into delta—the slowest brain waves linked to deep, restorative sleep. This is why you may feel as if you’ve rested for hours after just one session.
Sound baths work by gently coaxing your nervous system into these healing states, helping you:
- Reduce anxiety and tension
- Support better sleep
- Process emotions safely
- Reconnect with your intuition
I approach sound healing with compassion and purpose, creating a safe space where you can reconnect with yourself and experience the abundance that comes from deep inner stillness.
* Please note: The soundbath will last approximately 45-60 minutes. Additional time is reserved to get settled and grounded both before and after. Plan on arriving at 1:30pm Central Time
What to Bring:
A yoga mat or cushioned mat to lie on
A blanket to stay cozy (your body temperature may drop as you relax)
A small pillow or bolster for head and knee support
An eye mask or scarf to block out light
A water bottle to hydrate afterwards
Anything that helps you feel comfortable (like a favorite crystal or journal)
How to Prepare:
Eat a light meal about 1–2 hours beforehand (avoid heavy foods).
Arrive a few minutes early to settle in.
Dress in loose, comfortable layers.
Silence your phone completely.
Come with an open heart and no expectations—simply allow yourself to receive.
What Not to Do Beforehand:
✘ Avoid alcohol, as it can dull your receptivity.
✘ Try not to over-caffeinate—it can make it harder to relax.
✘ Don’t schedule anything stressful immediately before or after, if possible.
